As April draws to a close, I can say
that this has been a somewhat mixed bag of a month. There were nice moments and there were
unpleasant ones too… Although all are
certainly memorable.
Let’s start with the first one…. My
lime trees were infested with lime caterpillars… At first I was somewhat rattled by these
pests and the first thing that came to mind was “kill ‘em”. However, after I gathered them into a box, I had
a change of heart when I realized that other than the damage they caused to my lime trees, they're actually quite harmless. Moreover, I've done the best I possibly could to clear the trees of these caterpillars. And they could definitely serve a nice lesson to the
kids about metamorphosis. So I decided
to keep the caterpillars instead by modifying a plastic container into a makeshift incubator.
