It's been almost 1 month since my last entry, and it's for a good reason. I went back to Surabaya for 10 days to celebrate Chinese New Year, of which 3 days were spent in Batu.
When I came back just about more than a week ago, my 4 year old VAIO laptop suddenly had a hard disk break down. I tried salvaging as much data as I could, but unfortunately some of the photos from my Surabaya trip could not be recovered as they happen to be in the bad sector of the hard disk. That is so frustrating... I don't usually cut and paste my photos, just this time and this has to happen....
Anyway I managed to recover the photos taken from my RX100 Mk3 and some early shots from my X-T1. I had also luckily transferred some photos to my G3 so there are some memories remaining.
My VAIO's other hardware are actually still in good condition. I have some plans for it which include changing the hard disk to an SSD and start a new system. I should be looking into it sometime this weekend.
But that's not the end of the story. For some reason I ended up with a slipped disc and a stiff neck. Still recovering now from the stiff neck although the slipped disc is much better. Maybe I'll have time to start going through my photos from my Surabaya trip. It was a very nice holiday, not long enough as usual.... Holidays are never enough, especially when you're going back to your old home.
Anyway, here's a closing shot for this short entry.
