What Comes After a Wedding - Part I

Is a honeymoon!  We chose to go to Bali, Hong Kong & Macau for our honeymoon.  Sounds like much?  Not really..  My wife & I took 2 weeks leave to complete our wedding and honeymoon.

This post will cover our honeymoon in Bali. 

Soo..... As soon as we finished the wedding, we headed straight to Bali from Jakarta for our honeymoon.  First stop was at Four Seasons Jimbaran.

Oh my.... what a beautiful place..  no words can describe how beautiful and wonderful this place is.

New Template Again

I think I finally found a template I can settle down with.

This is a simple template that is beautiful and functional.

The New Face of My Blog

Woke up this morning to the sad news that Lee Kuan Yew has passed away.

This is a very respectable man, who despite his iron fist transformed Singapore into what she is today: a country with no natural resources and started with only 2 million people at his time into an oasis among third world countries in South East Asia.  But I believe he had to do what he did.  The results speaks for itself.

Some of his quotes that I'd like to share with everyone:

"What I fear is complacency. When things always become better, people tend to want more for less work."

"Rest on laurels?  I wish I could do that.  No, you rest when you're dead."

"I'm not interested in changing either my suit or my car or whatever with every change in fashion.  I don't judge myself or my friends by their fashion."

Another New Template

Okay, so I'm playing around with more new templates. 

This new one looks OK, the problem is the photos are resized properly. 

I'll stick with this for a while.

Will This One Work?

Okay, seems like I finally found a blog template that may work.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the moment.

Update: I finally managed to add an Instagram widget to my blog!  Now to figure out how to add the Flickr widget/badge.

Update 2: Finally I managed to add my Flickr Photostream to the blog.  It's looking more personalized now.

Confusing Templates

I was trying to use custom templates, but they are more trouble than their worth.....

So I reverted back to the original Blogger templates.

Given time, I'll figure out how to use the templates properly. 

Photography: how I started

My first digital camera was a Fujifilm Finepix F401 which I got back in 2002.

It was a simple 4 MP shooter that I thought (and still think) beautiful when compared to the popular Canon Ixus range.  Incidentally, I got it while accompanying a friend who wanted to get a Canon Ixus.

I really loved the photos that F401 produced; the even dynamic range and vibrant colours left a lasting impression as a first camera.  However, the sharpness was not something to hoot about as the 4MP is actually an extrapolation from 2MP. While colours, dynamic range & ISO performance were excellent, sharpness left a lot to be desired.     

My First Try in Blogging

Okay, so here's my first try in blogging.  I saw some blogs that are beautifully made detailing the journeys of the author and hence I'm inspired to start the same.

I love photography, good food, travel (which I unfortunately can't do much right now).  And I also love my kids and wife. 

I suppose I'll be writing a lot on above.
