Nailbiting November

We started November with a short trip to Batam again.  This time the missus brought me to Pasir Putih to explore new breakfast hangouts.

It's a refreshing break from our usual spot in Nagoya & Baloi for sure while I got to experience new places too.

From Pasir Putih we went on to check the progress of Kuta Kute Nagoya which is still so far from done.  It is an extremely frustrating project that has been delayed numerous times.

This month Lindsay's schooling has become more relaxed too, she started spending more time with her friends outside, which I suppose is fine as they might go their separate ways soon.

And as her Saturday becomes freed up, we got to spend more time together having lunch or just hanging out together, which is a very welcome change from the usual busy and packed Saturdays.

We also took the kids along our Saturday walks when the weather permits as November brought about rains on most days.

And just 2 days ago, Lindsay finally received her PSLE results.  It's been a seriously tense period for the missus.  She actually cried while waiting for Lindsay to get her results.  In the end Lindsay got 15 points, which is the worst score I was expecting.  I knew she wouldn't get worse than 15, but I was hoping she could at least get 11.  In any case, her result is already better than Lincoln's.   In fact her score is the top of her class, only she and another friend scored 15 points.

Now we've submitted her secondary school application, really hoping she will get into Gan Eng Seng which is just nearby our house.

Today Lincoln just left for Bintan for his workcation while tomorrow me, the missus and Lindsay will be leaving for Japan.  I've really looked forward to this break as I can't stand my frustratingly stupid work and the idiots in office who make things difficult...

In any case, this month's entry is very short indeed.

Here's a closing shot for this month's nailbiting entry:
