Tanjung Pinang Trip 2019 - Part 2

Day 2 started with a hearty breakfast in Lumba Lumba Inn.  My father had arranged for additional food to be brought in such as Martabak and Bangka noodles for everyone to share.  After breakfast, we set off for Bintan Agro Beach Resort.

The resort has changed quite a lot since the last time I was there.  The kids had some fun with the antique cars there, especially Lindsay with this cute Hello Kitty Mercedes Benz convertible.  Dad has a weird hobby of collecting antique cars, including cute ones too apparently.

After we were done with marvelling at the cars, we went up to the main lobby's rooftop for a great view of the beachfront.

As it was very hot, we didn't stay very long on the rooftop and immediately went down for some cool refuge in the Oceanic Spa lobby, which is just a storey underneath.

After we've cooled down enough, we left for another property which is about 4 kilometres away from Bintan Agro Beach.  This site is smaller but cozier.  And much better furnished too in my opinion.  But the beachfront is definitely better than Bintan Agro's.

Dad then brought us over to a sea sports centre nearby.  It was very windy so there were no island hopping trips for a while.

We then went for a heavy lunch at a seaside eatery called "cherry tree restaurant", they serve some of the best fried kway teow and fried rice...   Still gets me drooling thinking of those two dishes now..  😋😋

Anyway, we finally returned to Tanjung Pinang after a long day at the beach.  Lumba Lumba Inn's entrance looked so charming when we arrived.

On the following morning, we just took things easy in the hotel before departing for the ferry terminal.  Our ferry was at 1300 so we just waited till about 12 plus.

Soon, we were already walking towards the Ferry Terminal's check-in area.

Then we boarded the ferry, unfortunately this time we got a very old Wavemaster ferry which paled by comparison to the first ferry we took.  But still, it's better than the ones I used to take from Telaga Punggur.

After 1 hour and 45 minutes, we finally arrived at Tanah Merah and just couldn't wait to get home.

And so, we ended our short Bintan holiday.
