Circuit Breaker April

Last week, the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong announced an unprecedented move in implementing a "Circuit Breaker" (CB) measure from 7th April to 4th May, where everyone's supposed to work from home as much as possible, while students will move on to home-based learning.  Only essential services can continue operating during this period while observing safe distancing measures in their work premises.

Homemade Pizza

I've never made pizza from scratch, usually I would buy frozen pizza dough and decorate them nicely.  Last Friday, I took a day off to accompany the kids on the last day of their term break.  I decided to make pizza for lunch using homemade dough.  It's surprisingly easy.  The dough's recipe consists of 5 ingredients only.

Manic March

COVID-19 tightened its grip on the world this month.  We saw plenty of lockdown orders from governments around the world, and most alarmingly, how the number of infected and deaths continued to rise throughout March, especially in Europe.

Frantic February

Oh yes....  A frantic month it has been.  The word of the month is "Covid-19" as it took centre stage in February and triggered our very deeply ingrained humane trait of survival into overdrive.  While some of us did so elegantly, there were others who were simply just plain awful.

The Coconut Club - Atas Nasi Lemak

Early this month we had a chance to visit The Coconut Club in Ann Siang Hill.  They serve quite arguably the best Nasi Lemak in Singapore.

Jakarta Chinese New Year Trip 2020 - Day 4

Day 4, time to go back to Singapore.  We started with a simple breakfast at Mie Aloi which is just next door.  After the delightful breakfast, we returned to the hotel and the kids wanted a little swim.  So we obliged and let them have their splashy moment.
