And to Tiong Bahru Bakery After Tiann's

Well, I couldn't possibly miss visiting Tiong Bahru Bakery when I'm at the market right?  Even if we couldn't get a table there, we could always buy some croissant and kouign amann back home.

So after we were done at Tiann's, we just walked over to Eng Hoon Street for a quick look and see at Tiong Bahru Bakery.

And here we are at the "Paris of the Yeast" 56 Eng Hoon Street - A7R2 + Batis 2/25

It was a very crowded afternoon with customers sitting all the way outside at the terrace.  We knew we weren't going to get any seats so we decided to just buy some kouign amann home.

The pastries and sandwiches there were simply tantalizing and the cakes visually appealing.  Making up your mind over what to choose there could take some time.  Unfortunately you don't have that luxury as the ordering queue has to move.  They do have cakes too, but let me make things simple for you, they're still not up to Chez Yamashita's standards.  I'll come to Tiong Bahru Bakery for pastries, sandwiches, coffee and juice but for cakes, I'll still go to Chez Yamashita.

On the wall next to the cashier you could see the beverage menu along with their breakdown, although some still need some deciphering, or just ask the person at the cashier.

So what would you like today? - A7RMk2 + Batis 2/25
As I mentioned in my earlier post, Tiong Bahru Bakery is more packed than Tiann's.  The tables are positioned quite near to each other so don't expect privacy as you can easily listen to the conversations going on the tables around you.

So after we got our loot which consisted of 4 kouign amanns, it was time to walk around again.
